Day 2: Beijing
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We start our sightseeing by visiting the Great Wall at Juyong
Pass. The Great Wall of China is one of human history's most iconic and monumental
architectural achievements. It’s a vast series of fortifications that stretches across
northern China, originally built to protect Chinese states and empires from invasions and
raids by nomadic groups from the north. Nestled within the 18-kilometer-long Guangou
Valley, Juyong Pass is surrounded by lush mountains, offering picturesque views. The
area is unique because the Great Wall forms a complete loop here, enclosing a fortified
city with ancient temples and buildings. Next, we visit the “Beijing Dragon Land Superior
Jade Gallery,” where visitors can observe skilled artisans meticulously carving jade into
intricate designs, ranging from delicate jewelry to elaborate sculptures. Demonstrations
often showcase the process of transforming raw jade into finished pieces, providing
insight into the craftsmanship involved. Our last stop will be a photo stop at the iconic
“Bird’s Nest” stadium, which is an architectural marvel located in the Olympic Green
Village of Beijing. Designed for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, it has since
become a symbol of modern China and a prominent tourist attraction.
Day 3: Beijing
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today we continue our excursion with a visit to Tiananmen
Square & Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square is one of the largest and most famous
public squares in the world. Located in the heart of Beijing, it holds immense political,
historical, and cultural significance in China. The square contains the Monument to the
People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, and the
Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Our next stop is “Forbidden City”, located in the heart of
Beijing, It is one of the most majestic and best-preserved imperial palaces in the world.
“Forbidden” refers to the strict restrictions placed on access to the palace duringimperial
times. Commoners were not allowed in without special permission. It was themost
exclusive and powerful place in China for centuries. Next, we head to the SummerPalace,
which is a breathtaking imperial garden and palace complex, renowned for itsstunning
natural scenery, intricate architecture, and deep historical significance. Oftencalled “the
Museum of Chinese Gardens,” it’s a peaceful escape from the city's hustleand bustle
and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. Our tour ends with some freetime for
shopping at Hongqiao Market, a renowned multi-story shopping complex whereeach
floor offers a different experience, such as Pearls, Jewellery, Silk, Cashmere, Clothing,
Electronics, Watches, Bags & Souvenirs.
Day 4: Shanghai
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we headed to Beijing South Train Station to
catch a high-speed train to Shanghai. Traveling from Beijing to Shanghai by train is a fast
(approx 4.5 to 5 Hrs), comfortable, and scenic way to journey between two of China's
most iconic cities. On arrival at Shanghai, our local representative will transfer you to
your hotel in Shanghai. Shanghai is China’s largest and most cosmopolitan city—a
dazzling mix of old and new, East and West. It sits on the eastern coast of China at the
mouth of the Yangtze River, and is known for its iconic skyline, international flavor, and
role as a global financial hub.
Day 5: Shanghai
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Our excursion starts with a visit to People’s Square. Once
the site of a horse racing track, it’s now a large public plaza surrounded by some of the
city’s most important government buildings, cultural institutions, and shopping hubs.
Next, we head to Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as the Yuyuan Market, which is a bustling
traditional-style marketplace located right outside the famous Yuyuan Garden in
Shanghai. It’s a must-visit if you’re into shopping, snacking, sightseeing, and soaking up
classical Chinese architecture in the middle of a modern city. It is a shopper’s paradise
where one can indulge in shopping souvenirs, silk, jade, tea, fans, paper cuttings,
chopsticks, toys, calligraphy, and more—this is the place to pick up gifts or memorabilia.
We will head to Jinmao Tower & we will visit the 88th floor observation deck, which
offers a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the city's skyline. Located in the
Lujiazui area of Pudong, this deck provides vistas of landmarks such as the Oriental
Pearl Tower, the Bund, and the Huangpu River. Visitors can also look down into the
tower's impressive atrium, which extends from the 56th to the 87th floor. For thrill
seekers, the Skywalk experience (at additional cost) allows harnessed visitors to walk
along a transparent walkway outside the building, offering unobstructed views without
guardrails
Day 6: Shanghai
Breakfast at a hotel. Today, we will visit Jade Buddha Temple - one of Shanghai’s most
revered Buddhist temples, renowned for its exquisite jade Buddha statues and serene
atmosphere amidst the city's hustle. The temple features traditional Chinese
architectural styles, reminiscent of the Song Dynasty, with intricate designs and serene
courtyards. Our next stop will be a visit to AP Market, also known as Asia Pacific
Shopping Market or Xinyang Market, which is one of Shanghai’s most famous
underground “fake markets,” located beneath the Shanghai Science & Technology
Museum in Pudong. It’s a bustling maze of stalls offering a wide array of counterfeit
goods, from designer handbags and watches to electronics and souvenirs. Our last stop
will be free time for shopping at Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is Shanghai's premier
shopping destination, stretching approximately 5 kilometers from the historic Bund to
Jing’an Temple. This bustling thoroughfare is divided into two main sections:
East Nanjing Road: A pedestrian-friendly zone renowned for its vibrant atmosphere,
featuring a mix of traditional department stores, souvenir shops, and eateries.
West Nanjing Road: Known for its upscale shopping experience, housing luxury malls
and international brand boutiques.
Day 7: Shanghai
Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel. Depending on the timings for your onward flight, we
